— 2 Corinthians 8:9
The practice of tipping is commonly accepted in many countries. But I wonder: Has this courtesy influenced our attitude toward giving money to the church? Many Christians regard their financial giving as little more than a goodwill gesture to God for the service He has rendered us. They think that as long as they have given their tithe to God, the rest is theirs to handle as they please. But the Christian life is about so much more than money! The Bible tells us that our Creator owns “the cattle on a thousand hills” (Ps. 50:10). “The world is Mine,” God says, “and all its fullness” (v.12). Everything comes from Him, and everything we have belongs to Him. God has not only given us every material thing we have, He has also given us His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, who provides our very salvation. Paul used the Macedonian Christians as an illustration of what our giving should look like in the light of God’s incredible generosity toward us. The Macedonians, who were in “deep poverty,” gave with “liberality” (2 Cor. 8:2). But “they first gave themselves to the Lord” (v.5).
God the Creator of the universe does not need anything from us. He doesn’t want a tip. He wants us!

Hey people!
Yes, i noe, i havent posted for practically
like a million yrs even though its
impossible since im only 14. (:
Anw, this week has really really
been a busy week for all of us cuz like
there were so many projects and tests
and everything, namely:
1) IC drama skit
(which was today, btw)2) LCEP comic strip
(was to be handed up by today at 5)3) Art storyboard
(was rushing through it 2 nights before)4)History test
(today)5) Study yan yu
6) IC eng presentation
(today)Well, to add more to the load, we still
have like quite alot of homework. D:
So yes, i was really busy.
Anw, lets talk abt today since there's quite
alot to talk about.
Ok, so like last night, we were like all
rushing to print out the scripts.
Mun Yun, who was initially supposed to print
6 scripts, realised that her printer is
jammed and was only able to print 2.
So i had to print 1 more script and had to
call Isabella that she had to print 3 more scripts.
I was also rushing to draw the photogragh for
the skit today and found that i didnt have
enough time so just decided to do it at sch.
Anw, i was then like making my way to sch
today with a huge bag full of props with one
hand and the laptop in the other.
And BOTH my hands were really aching.
I was so tired! D:
Well so we had mass run today which all of us
were like hoping it was cancelled but
unfortunately, it wasnt.
I then decided to run with Jia yi cuz she is
always like running so fast and like when
you run with her, u feel like running fast too.
So then like both of us were like the 2 fastest
runners in like the whole sch during the run.
Except for this one other girl which i dunno.
She was infront of us and she was fast.
We were like super tired when it ended.
My face was all red man.
Then like aft awhile, Ash came and we decided
to do push-ups. LOL.
Yes, i noe you must be thinking, how do we
get all tt energy from?
But let me tell you, its nothing compared
to Jia yi. ;D
Ok so then aft tt we had PE right away and me
and Ash were like the last ones to go to the
parade sq.
Everyone was kinda pissed at us i think.
Sorry u guys. ):
So then Mrs Yeoh said that we had to run our
2.4 since NAFA
(right spelling?) is next week.
We were like all so bummed out man.
Cuz like we just came back frm the 1.6 run
and nw this?!
Ok, i was practically dying for the whole
run.
My face was SUPER red when i finished.
Seriously, it was like i washed my face with
blood or something.
So i came in 4th anw.
I deproved by 2 places compared to last yr.
How sad, lets just hope tt by some miracle,
i would be able to improve.
But im so not gonna go practice for my
2.4 on my own.
Im not tt free. LOL.
Right, so lets just skip all the boring parts
till the Drama lesson.
Well, today it was our very last session
(YAY!)and so we were supposed to act out our skits
today.
So guess wad?
We were so lucky tt my grp got to go perform
first.
Isnt tt just awesome?
So anw, we were all like so shocked and
suddenly got all nervous and everything cuz
like who thought tt we would be the very 1st
ones?!
So then like throughout the whole skit,
everything got kinda messy and like i laughed
a whole lot. D:
That was so not part of the plan.
But still, all of us still did pretty alright, i guess.
Anw, in the end, Kajal's grp was the best grp
and was then sent up to the PAT to perform.
It was so funny! :D
Oh and this was what happened during
Debbie's performance:
Jess: Hey, can i go out to get some fresh air?
Debbie: But we have aircon right here!
.............
Jess: Only Centuars
(i think) have ears like this
Debbie: What are you talking about? You have ears
just like mine!
Flo: But Gorgons
(which is Debbie) don't have ears!
Haha, it was so funny man!
All of us laughed like crazy, it was so typical-debbie.
:D
Anw, all of us still dunno who the best actress
is but the runner-up was Andrianna.
She was really good, she acted so well! :D
So then aft the drama thing, all of us stayed till
7pm for the sec 3 talk.
My mum didnt come cuz she had to work.
Anw, the thing ended at 8pm.
It then took me like 15 mins to get a cab, k?
So many ppl were flagging for cabs too.
D:
So then in the end, got hm around 8.30.
Missed half of American Idol. ):
Haha, but its ok.
Anw, since thats all for nw, BYE!
P.S The Sec 3 talk really made me more stress!
Be doers of the Word.
— James 1:22
All of the students at a school in Florida—2,550 in total—were in trouble. A message system notified every parent that their child (or children) had detention that weekend for bad behavior. Many kids pleaded their innocence, yet some parents meted out punishment anyway. One mother, Amy, admitted that she yelled at her son and made sure he showed up for his detention on Saturday.
To the relief of 2,534 kids, and to the embarrassment of some parents, they discovered that the automated message was sent in error to the entire student body when only 16 kids actually deserved detention! Amy felt so bad about not listening to and believing her son that she took him out for breakfast that Saturday morning.
We all have stories to tell about circumstances that have shown us our need to listen before we speak. We’re naturally tempted to come to quick judgments and react angrily. The book of James gives us these three practical exhortations to deal with life’s stressful situations: “Be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath” (James 1:19).
In life’s stresses, let’s be “doers of the Word” (v.22), and take the time to listen and show restraint with our words and anger today.

Hey people!
Ok, im here to blog again.
I've decided, Im gonna try to post
as much as i can. (:
But well, i always say things like tt.
So yea, u cant really take my word
for it.
Anw, today was alright.
Went to tiong to have lunch at Ajisen.
The ramen there is nice. :D
So then took a cab to Great World.
Had no choice but to watch Race to
Witch Mountain again cuz my bro wanted
to watch it.
So yea, but it isnt as bad as u think it is.
I wasnt all bored and stuff.
Atleast i had popcorn. ;D
So then aft the movie, went to Zara 1st.
There was this super nice T-shirt and
it was $39.90 which is kinda alright for
Zara standard but too bad didnt have much
time so i couldnt buy it in the end. D:
Ok, so then went to Starbucks for a drink.
Bought a tall Caramel Frappucino as usual.
Come to think of it, today was very much
like ysd - the caramel frappucino, the movie.
Right, so aft tt, went for dinner at the
food court.
And guess wad? I had Pepper Lunch and ate
exactly the same thing as ysd.
Coincidence? I dun think so.
Oh but the only diff was, my bro spilled
the soup on my bag. D:
I was like so pissed a him.
But thank goodness it was only a lil bit.
Ok, but yea, atleast i still enjoyed the
food in the end.
So aft tt went home and turned on the TV
to watch American Idol. (:
Since i having nothing more to say,
Im gonna end here.
BYE! ;D
Let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.
— Philippians 2:3-4
Jason Ray was a ray of joy on the University of North Carolina campus in Chapel Hill. He performed as Rameses (the school mascot) for 3 years, hauling his giant ram’s head costume to sporting events one day and children’s hospitals the next. Then, in March 2007, while with his team for a basketball tournament, Jason was struck by a car. His family watched and waited at the hospital, but the 21-year-old succumbed to his injuries and died.
His story doesn’t end there, however. Jason had filed paperwork two years earlier to donate organs and tissue upon his death—and that act of concern saved the lives of four people and helped dozens of others. A young man in the prime of his life, with everything to live for, was concerned for the well-being of others and acted on that concern. Those individuals who were helped, as well as their families, are deeply grateful for this young man who thought of others.
Jason’s act echoes the heart of Paul’s words in Philippians 2, as he called believers to look beyond themselves and their own interests, and to look to the interests of others. A heart that turns outward to others will be a healthy heart indeed.

Hey everyone!
Yes, im finally posting again.
After like 10 million yrs i guess?
LOL.
Ok, so anw so wad's up with my life
recently?
Well, even though this week is the
March hols and everything, it's not
all fun and leisure.
Firstly, there was hw, secondly, there
are projects and thirdly, we only have
7 days.
Like wad can we do in the tiny amt
of days.
Well, if it was a month or something,
yea, i would understand.
Ok, but i must admit, its still better
than nothing.
Haha, so i shouldnt complain.
;D
Oh so went out with Kajal, Ash, Flo
and Fel today.
Decided to go to Marina Square.
Met Kajal at tiong mrt at the platform.
Then kajal was like coming out of the
train then going back in again.
Yea, so u can imagine she looked kinda
weird. Haha, ok, im just kidding. (:
Well, so when we were like a few stops
away frm City hall (meeting point),
Fel started calling and said tt they were
already there and something else which
i cant hear.
So like when we got to City Hall, Ash, Fel
and Flo werent there at all so we called
them and it turns out they were at
top shop.
That was what Fel was trying to say
just nw i guess.
Ok, so later we went to Raffles Mall to
have our lunch 1st at the Food court.
I had pepper lunch express and it
was YUMMY! (:
We chatted and ate at the same time
until we realised tt we were gonna be
late for the movie.
So all of us like quickly gobbled up
our food.
Then like aft tt all of us are like running
to Marina Square and like we were all
grabbing our stomachs cuz like all of
us have stitches.
And when we got to Marina Square, we
didnt noe where the cinema was so i
had to be the one who asked this
random guy where it is.
Ok, so when we got there, we quicky
bought our tickets, which was $7.50.
I tot its supposed to be $6 since like
its student price n its like a weekday.
But then later Kajal told me its only
$6 on tuesdays so yea.
How sad. D:
Had to waste like $1.50 more.
Ok, so then we quickly had to rush to
the cinema and didnt even have time
for snacks.
Only Fel an Flo went to buy pop corn
and coke.
Yea, in the end, we made it in time
for the movie so thats gd.
Oh btw, we watched Race to Witch Mountain.
It was nice.
Except for the 1st part which was kinda
boring.
Haha.
Then like since it was kinda boring,
Kajal then got all restless and started
acting all weird and everything.
Not tt she's already so weird everyday.
But she was
extra weird then.
Haha, im just kidding.
Ok, but then like aft tt the movie got
more interesting gradually and yes,
we enjoyed the movie.
So then towards the end, Fel asked
us whether we wanted pop corn then
me and kajal were like "I want, I want!"
So like we just grabbed a handfull of
pop corn into our hands and started
eating like barbarians.
Haha, we were like super messy.
And Kajal claimed tt the guy behind
her was laughing at her.
Haha, i wouldnt be surprised. ;D
Then aft the movie, we decided to go to
Starbucks.
Me and Kajal bought a tall Caramel Frappucino,
Ash bought a Grande Caramel Frappucino
and Flo bought a blueberry muffin.
Fel just took a sip frm mine.
LOL.
Ok, so while we were eating and drinking,
We talked and stuff and played some
staring game and truth & Dare.
It was kinda fun. (:
Then later aft we had nothing else to do,
we decided to go home.
Erm, i guess thats it for today.
Too bad we didnt take any pics.
D:
But any how, it was fun today. :D
BYE!
Walk worthy of the calling with which you were called.
— Ephesians 4:1
My Chinese family name sets me apart from others with different family names. It also confers on me a family responsibility. I am a member of the Hia family. As a member of the family, I am expected to carry on the Hia line and uphold the honor of my ancestors.
Believers who have been saved by the atoning blood of Jesus Christ have a spiritual family name. We are called “Christians.”
In the New Testament, the name Christian was first given to the disciples in Antioch by those who noted their behavior (Acts 11:26). Two things defined these early believers. They talked about the good news of the Lord Jesus everywhere they went (v.20). And they eagerly learned the Scriptures as Barnabas and Saul taught them for a whole year (v.26).
The name Christian means an “adherent to Christ”—literally, one who “sticks” to Christ. Today many people call themselves Christians. But should they?
If you call yourself a Christian, does your life tell others who Jesus is? Are you hungry for God’s Word? Do your actions bring honor or shame to Christ’s name?
What’s in a name? When the name is Christian, there is much indeed!

Reached there at like 6.30 and realised that
we were the only ones there from our group.
So were just sitting there talking and looking
at the other group drawing.
We were like super extra sitting there.
Haha, but who cares.
Aft like 1/2 an hour i guess, one of our grp
members came.
We then started on our drawing ASAP.
When it was like 8.20, me and simin said we

Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
— 1 Corinthians 6:19
My garage serves as “storage” for things that don’t have a place in our home, and, frankly, there are times when I am ashamed to open the door. I don’t want anyone to see the clutter. So, periodically, I set aside a workday to clean it up.
Our hearts and minds are a lot like that—they accumulate lots of clutter. As we rub shoulders with the world, inevitably, perhaps unknowingly, we pick up ungodly thoughts and attitudes. Thinking that life is all about “me.” Demanding our rights. Reacting bitterly toward those who have hurt us. Before long, our hearts and minds are no longer clean and orderly. And while we think we can hide the mess, eventually it will show.
Paul pointedly asked, “Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit?” (1 Cor. 6:19)—which makes me wonder if God often feels like He is living in our messy garage.
Perhaps it’s time to set aside a spiritual workday and, with His help, get to work clearing out the clutter. Discard those thoughts of bitterness. Bag up and throw out the old patterns of sensual thoughts. Organize your attitudes. Fill your heart with the beauty of God’s Word. Make it clean to the core, and then leave the door open for all to see!

Don’t let the Spirit reside in a cluttered heart. Take some time to clean it up today!

Hey everyone.
Yes ppl, I have new updates on my life.
Not tt im super interesting or
anything but yea, this is my blog
so who cares?
Anw, we didnt go to Lions Befrienders
today since it was our last day
there ysd.
Instead, we went to the Queenstown
stadium to help out with the rainbow
children's Sports day.
Woke up at around 7am today.
Went to the mrt station not long aft.
And reached to Queenstown station
early.
Waited for Kajal at the usual spot which
was at the bus stop.
While waiting, Dawn came and we kinda
talked and stuff.
Turns out, she was waiting for her fren,
Nicole.
Aft awhile, yes, Nicole reached before
Kajal.
And they were so lucky cuz they reached
just in time to go on the 111 bus.
So i continued waiting alone for Kajal.
Aft abt 15mins or more, Kajal
finallycame.
And a piece of advice: Kajal's version of
'I'm almost there' is when she is still at
Clementi coming to Queenstown.
Haha, its ok tho, im not angry or anything.
Well, when we got to the stadium, most
of the ppl r already there.
Not tt we were late or anything tho.
So for the beginning part of the event,
all we did was sit and do nothing.
Cuz like there were already quite alot of
ppl doing the same thing.
So yes, we didnt really have much to do.
Oh but slacking didnt last long cuz the
teacher like noticed us doing nothing n
told us to help out.
My 1st duty was to tell the parents n their
children to go to this place aft they have
finished competing and stuff.
Aft tt, there wasnt much to do so i went
back up n sat down again.
So later the teacher came again when she saw
so many of us r like just sitting down
and stuff.
Well, my next duty was to prepare
muskin
(right spelling?) tape for the parents
to dress up their children.
It was alright, except tt we had to stand
under the sun for such a long time.
But still, atleast we helped. (:
Ok, well aft some time, i was like tired
and was sweating so much so me and
Kajal kind a found 2 other ppl who were
so nice to take over us.
So once again, we went back up and sat
down and relax. ;D
It was soon 12.30pm and we were dismissed.
So me and kajal went to tiong to have
lunch aft tt.
Jia yi was supposed to come with us but
she didnt bring her money so yea.
And Kajal who was not able to come atfirst
was able to later cuz like she called her
mum n her mum was in such a gd mood
tt she allowed Kajal to go.
So then we thought it was gonna be only the
2 of us cuz Ash overslept and went late
for her CIP and she tot tt she wouldnt be
able to leave early then.
But turns out, Flo and Ash were able to come
aft all cuz Flo had to go fetch her bro. ;D
By the tim we knew tt they were gonna come,
we already ate our lunch at Long John's.
And while we were eating, Ash and Flo tried
calling me 5 times and Kajal 3 times.
Luckily, Kajal finally felt a vibration unlike
me who was so blur
as usual.Ok, so then we gave Flo and Ash a call n turns
out they were in Mos Burger.
Went Mos to meet them as soon as we
were done and we talked n stuff.
I missed them so much!
Its been like so many days since i last
saw them.
Well, as u have realised, i have been blogging
much more recently.
But this is just temporary cuz i'll
definately not have as much time to post
so much aft this week cuz as u guys noe,
Sch starts once again.
Argh, y must all good things come to
an end?
This week was so much fun man.
Well, since i have nothing more to say,
BYE! :D
God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have showed toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints.
— Hebrews 6:10
When Britain’s oldest man turned 111, vintage aircraft did a flyover, and the Band of the Royal Marines played “Happy Birthday.” According to the Daily Mirror, Henry Allingham was amazed by all of the attention. Until 6 years earlier, he had for 86 years kept secret the horrific memories of what happened in the trenches of World War I. Only when tracked down by the World War I Veteran’s Association did this old man, who had been shelled, bombed, and shot, receive honor for what he had endured in behalf of his country.
The story of the Bible gives us parallels to Henry’s story. The Scriptures show that those who fight the battles of God often end up wounded, imprisoned, and even killed as a result of their service.
The cynic might observe such lives and conclude with a sigh that no good deed goes unpunished. But the author of Hebrews sees a bigger picture. He reminds us that everything and anything we have done in faith and love will one day be honored by God (6:10).
Are you discouraged today? Do you feel insignificant? Do you feel forgotten after trying to serve God? Be assured that God will not forget anything you have done in your service to Him or others.

Hey everyone.
Well, today is kinda an emotional
day for us ppl who volunteered at
Lion's Befrienders cuz as some of
you ppl may noe, today is our very
last day there.
So today we went there like extra
early cuz like we had to go make
sandwiches for them at iris's hse.
Well, guess wad?
1st of all, i was supposed to bring the pork
floss to her place but obviously, i forgot
to bring.
So we changed our sandwich into Tuna
sandwich instead of the porkfloss one.
Right, so when we got to Iris's hse, 1st
thing we did was get scared (Me & Kajal)
cuz totally forgot bout her pet dog, Angel.
Cuz it started running towards us and started
barking and me and kajal were just standing
there.
So Iris had to carry round Angel every where
cuz we would just be way too frightened to
walk around the hse otherwise.
But since the Angel was kinda heavy,
Iris just suggested that me and Kajal just
hide in the room and think of the performance
we're gonna put up later.
But b4 we could do tt, we realised tt we
dun have enough bread and went down to
buy 2 loafs of bread frm the stall downstairs
Iris hse.
So aft bout like half an hour, Celeste finally
arrived.
She was late, but its ok, we still managed
to complete everything.
Ok, so then it was like already almost 8am
n we were supposed to be there at like 7.50am.
So we then went out of the rm and realised
tt Iris was still on her 7th sandwich and we
had to make 20.
Celeste couldnt help as well cuz like she was
in the rm with the Angel inside and i think
they were afraid tt everything would get
messed up or something?
Oh no, i think it was me and kajal's fault cuz
we did not dare to walk of the rm if Angel
was there, so i guess its our bad.
Anw, we were like super scared already cuz
we still have tomake much more sandwiches.
So then me and kajal decided to help and we
managed to finish making them all by 8am.
Like how amazing is tt.
And we even made extra with a bit of tuna
left over. (:
Ok, so we quickly rushed down when suddenly,
we were like walking halfway and we realised
we left the sandwiches in Iris's hse.
Like how smart of us to do tt?!
So then Iris and Celeste decided to run up
to her hse to get the sandwiches and by
the time we got to the place, we were like
the very last ones there,
DUH.
We were so late tt Joycelyn had to call us
twice.
LOL.
So then we kinda practiced on our performance
and honestly, our hokey-pokey dance
turned out better than we expected it to be.
Since it was so last min and all.
Ok, so these are the performance by
the respective groups:
Renee's Grp: Mama mia dance thingy
Joycelyn's Grp: right side, left side dance,
gheko dance n i think one more which i
have forgotten
(SORRY!)Our Grp: Hokey-Pokey dance
So at the end of all our performances, we
did the friendship dance which is definitely
not as lame as it sounds.
Its really fun and it did keep the seniors
happy.
At the end of the day, all of us including the
seniors were like all sad cuz we really
gotten quite close. (:
Overall, i think CIP at Lion's Befrienders
was quite a good experience aft all.
Ok, so tmr we're gonna go Queenstown
stadium to help the rainbow children for their
sports day.
And yes, have to wake up early
AGAIN.
This time its at 7am which is not as bad
as today cuz i woke up at like 6.30am.
Oh and one last thing, Ash can come tmr
for lunch so YAY!
But Kajal couldnt make it tmr.
So thats sad. D':
Anw, since i have nothing more to say,
BYE! (:
Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their hearts.
— Ezekiel 14:3
When my husband and I first went out as missionaries, I recall being concerned about the growth of materialism in our society. It never crossed my mind that I myself could be materialistic. After all, hadn’t we gone overseas with almost nothing? Weren’t we choosing to live in a shabbily furnished, rundown apartment? I thought materialism couldn’t touch us.
Nonetheless, feelings of discontent gradually began to take root in my heart. Before long I was craving hungrily after nice things and secretly feeling resentful over not having them.
Then one day God’s Spirit opened my eyes with a disturbing insight: Materialism isn’t necessarily having things; it can also be craving them. There I stood—guilty of materialism! God had exposed my discontent for what it was—an idol in my heart! That day as I repented of this subtle sin, God recaptured my heart as His rightful throne. Needless to say, a deep contentment followed, based not on things but on Him.
In Ezekiel’s day, God dealt thoroughly with this kind of secret idolatry. His throne on earth has always been in the hearts of His people. That’s why we must rid our heart of anything that destroys our contentment with Him.

Hey everyone.
I realised i've been posting much more
often recently.
That just comes to show that this CIP
week really gives me alot more free
time and at the same time, we get to
help others.
So i guess this week really benefits all
of us.
Today was alright.
Everyone was on time including me.
I guess thats cuz it wasnt raining today
so i was walking like much faster than
ysd. (:
We did the same thing today.
Taught the old folks how to fold origami
and aft tt had lunch and planned on what
we should do for the seniors tmr since
its like our very last day there.
Well, our grp which is me, Kajal, Iris
and Celeste has decided to do a skit
i think.
We havent really planned much which
is not the greatest thing of all i guess since
we have to perform it early in the morning
tmr.
But no worries, i believe everything will
be alright.
Oh and guess wad?
I have to wake up like super early tmr
at 6.30am cuz we have to meet up at
Iris' hse at 7.30 tmr.
Like how sad is tt?
I'll be like super tired and it'll definately
feel like sch all over again.
I tried negotiating for a later time but
to no avail.
I guess that this is the best time aft all.
Cuz like we have to go Iris hse to make
the sandwiches which is btw, 20 of them.
U see, we decided t provide breakfast for
the seniors tmr since we're like going there
in the morning at 9am.
We have decided to make porkfloss sandwiches
with butter/margerine n cucumber.
So yes, tt kinda explain y we're waing up so
early.
But i guess its enough time cuz like each of us
will just make 5 each since there's 4 of us.
Oh and yes, we have to prepare our skit
as well.
So i guess 7.30 is gd aft all.
And just if u're wondering what we'll do on
fri since we're not going to lion's befrienders,
no, we're not gonna stay hm and slack.
Instead, we're going to queenstown stadium
to help out the rainbow centre ppl.
Which means another day of waking up early
again cuz like we hae to reach the place
by 8/9am.
Yes, how sad is tt. ):
Ok, since i have nothing more to say,
im gonna stop here and go watch american idol!
WEE! ;D
Bye. (:
To know the love of Christ which passes knowledge.
— Ephesians 3:19
The words of the hymn “The Love of God” capture in word pictures the breathtaking magnitude of divine love:
Could we with ink the ocean fillAnd were the skiesof parchment made,Were every stalk on earth a quillAnd every man a scribe by trade,To write the love of God aboveWould drain the ocean dry,Nor could the scrollcontain the wholeThough stretched from sky to sky.
These marvelous lyrics echo Paul’s response to the love of God. The apostle prayed that believers might “be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height—to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge” (Eph. 3:18-19). In reflecting on these verses about God’s love, some Bible scholars believe “width” refers to its worldwide embrace (John 3:16); “length,” its existence through all ages (Eph. 3:21); “depth,” its profound wisdom (Rom. 11:33); and “height,” its victory over sin opening the way to heaven (Eph. 4:8).
We are admonished to appreciate this amazing love. Yet as we expand our awareness of God’s love, we soon realize that its full measure is beyond our understanding. Even if the ocean were filled with ink, using it to write about the love of God would drain it dry.

Hey everyone.
Ok, anw, today was an alright day
for me. (:
Woke up at arnd 10pm cuz like we
only have to reach the place at like
11, so i figured its actually the right
time to wake up.
Ok, so aft like i woke up and got ready
and stuff, i realised it was like raining
like crazy outside.
The rain was so heavy, seriously.
So i wanted to take a taxi but Kajal
asked me to meet her at Queenstown
mrt so i decided to just take the train.
And yea, guess wad?
Just when i reached tiong mrt, my entire
skirt was like soaking wet.
Tt was hot heavy the rain is.
Seriously, my entire skirt was completely
wet and yes, rain did get into my shoes
which made my socks like wet as well.
So actually, i was wet all over, even my
my toes were wet.
How great is tt.
LOL, i just realised tt i've been self-pitying
quite alot bout the rain thing so i shall
stop nw.
Cuz i noe u guys r already kinda irritated
with hearing my complaints.
Oh so anw, reached queenstown mrt arnd
like 11 and yes, i was late cuz we were
actually supposed to reach the place at 10.50.
So Kajal, iris and Zenice (kajal made her w8 for me)
waited there for like more than 10mins.
And yes, when we reached the place, we were
actually like the last ones to reach there.
Oops, so i guess its my fault.
D: Sorry u guys!
In the beginning, we just listen to the old
folks sing karaoke.
They seem to enjoy themselves. (:
So thats good.
Aft tt, i was lunch break and me and kajal
decided to go to common wealth which
turns out not to be a good idea aft all.
Well, everything was fine when we got
to commonwealth.
I bought hokkien mee for $3.50 which
btw, tastes exactly like the one in wisma
and better yet, its like cheaper and easier
to eat cuz the peeled off the prawn shell.
And Kajal bought her Chicken cutlet rice
which she claims its the best thing she has
ever eaten i think.
LOL.
Ok, so aft we have finished eating, it was
almost 12.50 already and we were supposed
to be back by 1pm.
So we were like its ok to be a few mins late,
they wont really bother.
Yea, so we got to the mrt station and i
started walking to pasir ris side.
Then Kajal was like saying i was going
the wrong way n pulled me to Joo Koon
side.
Being the blur one, and Kajal always
being the one who is more alert, we went on
the Joo Koon train.
So when we got up, Kajal suddenly realised
tt we were on the wrong train n we were
supposed to go on the Pasir ris train.
So we got off at buona vista n took
the Pasir ris train instead.
We seriously wasted like alot of time.
Cuz we realised tt while we were waiting
for the Joo Koon train, we like missed
2 of the pasir ris train and then at Buona
vista, we had to w8 another extra 2 mins
and it took us like 4 mins to reach Queenstown.
Ok, maybe w didnt waste tt much time.
But still.
And so in the end, we were like maybe
10mins late but like the teacher still
didnt scold us so i guess we were alright.
We just blended into the crowd and tot
the old folks how to fold paper hearts
n kinda chit chatted with them. :D
Well, i guess i have nothing more to say.
Oh and yes, Flo, Kajal, Jia yi and me r
going out this fri aft our CIP thing.
We wanted Ash to come but her mum
doesnt allow.
So yes, how sad is tt. ):
Ok, anw, i have nothing more to say so
i guess i'll just end off here.
Bye. (:
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life.
— 1 Timothy 6:12
Tolkien’s classic The Lord of the Rings trilogy came to life in recent years on film. In the second epic story, the hero, Frodo, reached a point of despair and wearily confided to his friend, “I can’t do this, Sam.” As a good friend, Sam gave a rousing speech: “It’s like in the great stories . . . . Full of darkness and danger they were. . . . Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn’t. They kept going. Because they were holding on to something.” Which prompted Frodo to ask: “What are we holding on to, Sam?”
It’s a significant question, one that we all need to ask ourselves. Living in a fallen, broken world, it’s no wonder that sometimes we feel overwhelmed by the powers of darkness. When we are at the point of despair, ready to throw in the towel, we do well to follow Paul’s advice to Timothy:
“Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life” (1 Tim. 6:12).
In life’s battles, let’s hold on to the fact that good will triumph over evil in the end, that one day we will see our Master and Leader face-to-face, and we will reign with Him forever. You can be part of this great story, knowing that if you have trusted Jesus for salvation you are guaranteed a victorious ending!

Hey everyone!
Ok, lets see wad i did recently.
Well, lets talk bout Sat 1st.
Went to watch Marley and Me with
my family ysd in the evening.
Had dinner 1st at tiong Mos
Burger and then went back cuz
the movie was at like 8.50 n
it was only 7+ then.
Oh btw, whatcha think bout my
new blogskin? (:
As u have already realised, i've
changed my blogskin.
Like
Finally right?
Haha, but atleast i still change
it once in a while.
Anw, back to wad i did ysd.
So i went back and did a lil bit
on my blog stuff and used the comp
for a lil while.
So went back just in time for the
movie and let me tell u,
the movie was just awesome! :D
Jennfer Aniston was amazing but
she looked a lil diff frm last time.
Oh and u noe the last part of the
movie was so sad tt i even cried abit.
Anw, i soo cant w8 to watch
He's Just Not That into You.
Its like Drew barrymore, Jennifer aniston
and like this other bunch of other ppl
acting in it.
I guess we're just gonna watch it during
the mach hols since like Ash and Kajal
both cant go out this week.
Ok, anw, more bout today!
It was better than i tot it would be.
It was actually not tt bad at all.
U noe the old folks were like awesomely
nice to us?
They were like so friendly.
Ok, so me and kajal decided to meet at
the little junction before we cross the road
to go to sch.
Kajal was a lil late cuz she woke up late
and had to w8 for the bus.
But luckily we reached sch in time.
Aft everyone was a sch, we took 111 to
Queenstown where the place actually is.
The place is like only a few mins walk frm
the mrt station. :D
So when we reached there, the person in
charge kinda briefed
(Is it the right spelling?)us on wad to do n stuff.
Ok, aft tt we kinda watched the old folks
exercise and went for lunch break.
Haha.
So when we got back, we started with our activity
which is teaching them to fold paper hearts.
We were supposed to fold paper lotus but
we just didnt noe how to.
But in the end, the old folks did enjoy it.
;D
Ok, aft tt, we went back.
Well, see u guys soon! (:
I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called.
— Ephesians 4:1
A continuing struggle as we seek to follow Christ is trying to find our calling in life. While we often think in terms of occupation and location, perhaps a more important issue is one of character—the being that undergirds doing. “Lord, who do You want me to be?”
In Ephesians 4, Paul wrote, “I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called” (v.1). He followed this with three “be’s,” as one translation renders it: be humble, be gentle, be patient, “bearing with one another in love” (v.2 NIV). Paul wrote this from prison, a difficult place where he continued to live out his calling from God.
Oswald Chambers said: “Consecration is not the giving over of the calling in life to God, but the separation from all other callings and the giving over of ourselves to God, letting His providence place us where He will—in business, or law, or science; in workshop, in politics, or in drudgery. We are to be there working according to the laws and principles of the Kingdom of God.”
When we are the right people before God, we can do whatever task He sends, wherever He puts us. In so doing, we discover and affirm His calling for us.
—
David C. McCaslandYou are called with a holy callingThe light of the world to be;To lift up the lamp of the gospelThat others the light may see.
