Hey everyone.
Yes ppl, I have new updates on my life.
Not tt im super interesting or
anything but yea, this is my blog
so who cares?
Anw, we didnt go to Lions Befrienders
today since it was our last day
there ysd.
Instead, we went to the Queenstown
stadium to help out with the rainbow
children's Sports day.
Woke up at around 7am today.
Went to the mrt station not long aft.
And reached to Queenstown station
early.
Waited for Kajal at the usual spot which
was at the bus stop.
While waiting, Dawn came and we kinda
talked and stuff.
Turns out, she was waiting for her fren,
Nicole.
Aft awhile, yes, Nicole reached before
Kajal.
And they were so lucky cuz they reached
just in time to go on the 111 bus.
So i continued waiting alone for Kajal.
Aft abt 15mins or more, Kajal
finallycame.
And a piece of advice: Kajal's version of
'I'm almost there' is when she is still at
Clementi coming to Queenstown.
Haha, its ok tho, im not angry or anything.
Well, when we got to the stadium, most
of the ppl r already there.
Not tt we were late or anything tho.
So for the beginning part of the event,
all we did was sit and do nothing.
Cuz like there were already quite alot of
ppl doing the same thing.
So yes, we didnt really have much to do.
Oh but slacking didnt last long cuz the
teacher like noticed us doing nothing n
told us to help out.
My 1st duty was to tell the parents n their
children to go to this place aft they have
finished competing and stuff.
Aft tt, there wasnt much to do so i went
back up n sat down again.
So later the teacher came again when she saw
so many of us r like just sitting down
and stuff.
Well, my next duty was to prepare
muskin
(right spelling?) tape for the parents
to dress up their children.
It was alright, except tt we had to stand
under the sun for such a long time.
But still, atleast we helped. (:
Ok, well aft some time, i was like tired
and was sweating so much so me and
Kajal kind a found 2 other ppl who were
so nice to take over us.
So once again, we went back up and sat
down and relax. ;D
It was soon 12.30pm and we were dismissed.
So me and kajal went to tiong to have
lunch aft tt.
Jia yi was supposed to come with us but
she didnt bring her money so yea.
And Kajal who was not able to come atfirst
was able to later cuz like she called her
mum n her mum was in such a gd mood
tt she allowed Kajal to go.
So then we thought it was gonna be only the
2 of us cuz Ash overslept and went late
for her CIP and she tot tt she wouldnt be
able to leave early then.
But turns out, Flo and Ash were able to come
aft all cuz Flo had to go fetch her bro. ;D
By the tim we knew tt they were gonna come,
we already ate our lunch at Long John's.
And while we were eating, Ash and Flo tried
calling me 5 times and Kajal 3 times.
Luckily, Kajal finally felt a vibration unlike
me who was so blur
as usual.Ok, so then we gave Flo and Ash a call n turns
out they were in Mos Burger.
Went Mos to meet them as soon as we
were done and we talked n stuff.
I missed them so much!
Its been like so many days since i last
saw them.
Well, as u have realised, i have been blogging
much more recently.
But this is just temporary cuz i'll
definately not have as much time to post
so much aft this week cuz as u guys noe,
Sch starts once again.
Argh, y must all good things come to
an end?
This week was so much fun man.
Well, since i have nothing more to say,
BYE! :D
God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have showed toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints.
— Hebrews 6:10
When Britain’s oldest man turned 111, vintage aircraft did a flyover, and the Band of the Royal Marines played “Happy Birthday.” According to the Daily Mirror, Henry Allingham was amazed by all of the attention. Until 6 years earlier, he had for 86 years kept secret the horrific memories of what happened in the trenches of World War I. Only when tracked down by the World War I Veteran’s Association did this old man, who had been shelled, bombed, and shot, receive honor for what he had endured in behalf of his country.
The story of the Bible gives us parallels to Henry’s story. The Scriptures show that those who fight the battles of God often end up wounded, imprisoned, and even killed as a result of their service.
The cynic might observe such lives and conclude with a sigh that no good deed goes unpunished. But the author of Hebrews sees a bigger picture. He reminds us that everything and anything we have done in faith and love will one day be honored by God (6:10).
Are you discouraged today? Do you feel insignificant? Do you feel forgotten after trying to serve God? Be assured that God will not forget anything you have done in your service to Him or others.
